Overview

Nepean Private Hospital invites GPs and Practice Nurses to attend this education evening.

Dr Todd Gothelf, Orthopaedic surgeon will cover the most common conditions of the forefoot. The classic features of each diagnosis will be presented, along with common history, physical findings, and investigative tools utilized to achieve a diagnosis.  The latest surgical treatments will also be discussed.

Learning outcomes:

  • Describe bunions, hammer toes, 2nd MTP joint instability and neuromas
  • Explain which investigative tool is appropriate for each diagnosis
  • List non-operative treatments that work best for each condition
  • Outline the latest surgical treatments and when their suitability
  • Initiate the referral pathways for patients with these conditions in this region
