Primary healthcare professionals should, in the first instance, source Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) through local commercial supply.
With recent changes to National Medical Stockpile (NMS) access to PPE for primary healthcare workers is subject to availability and the guidelines provided by the Commonwealth Department of Health. PPE volumes will be monitored by the Department and checked against healthdirect and MBS caseload data.
We have not received supplies of rapid antigen tests (RATs).

Pharmacists Delivering COVID-19 Vaccinations (Available until 31 March 2022)
One PPE bundle is available per pharmacist delivering COVID-19 vaccinations. This initial bundle includes 90 P2/N95 respirators and 1 goggle or face shield. After this initial bundle, pharmacists can place monthly orders of P2/N95 respirators until 31 March 2022.
Community pharmacy are able to access the NMS supply when there is no available commercial supply. Community pharmacy are able to access one box of masks (50 masks) per location.
Allied health are able to place an order for masks when there is no commercial supply available and if they are working in high-risk clinical areas with vulnerable patients. Allied health are able to access one box of masks (50 masks) per practice.
