What we do
Navigating health workforce policies and changing reforms can be complex. Our Workforce Support team can help you by providing valuable information, advice and practical assistance on a range of health workforce topics, when and where you need it. Our support is free and is tailored to meet the needs of your individual practice. We can visit you in person or provide support online or by phone.
We help you by:
- providing guidance on workforce policies and reforms such as the NSW Health Area of Need (AoN) Program, Distribution Priority Area (DPA), Modified Monash Model (MMM) and more
- offering recruitment advice, such as on the process for recruiting overseas doctors
- advertising local primary care and support staff job vacancies (and room rentals) on our website
- accepting CVs from healthcare job seekers and matching them to local vacancies (where possible)
- delivering inductions and orientations for GPs, GP registrars, practice nurses, allied health clinicians and other primary care providers who are new to the region
- offering in person and online peer networking opportunities
- working with local universities and regional training providers to develop the region’s capacity to host medical students, pre-vocational doctors and GP registrars
