Community Advisory Committee

The Community Advisory Committee (CAC) is an advisory body to our Board and the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) Board, helping to shape the future direction of health services within our region.

CAC members provide consumer and community perspectives to ensure that decisions, investments, and innovations are patient-centred, high-quality, cost-effective, responsive to local community needs, and informed by local health consumer and carer experiences and expectations.

Up to 13 members from our four LGAs (Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury, Lithgow and Penrith) contribute their experiences and those of their networks to help improve the health system. The goal is to create a more connected system where GPs, the hospital system, other health professionals and consumers work together.

To find out more about the objectives, composition and operations of the Community Advisory Committee, please read the Terms of Reference.
