What is the service?
Upbeat Lungs is a supervised exercise group delivered in the Hawkesbury region to help people with chronic lung conditions stay active. The classes provide a safe and supportive environment where you can exercise at your own pace, build strength, and improve your confidence with physical activity.
Sessions are delivered by a trainer experienced in working with people who have lung disease and heart failure.
The program is designed to be accessible and supportive. You can participate even if you:
- use supplemental oxygen
- use a walking frame
- prefer seated exercise options
Seated options are available for every exercise, so you can participate in a way that feels comfortable and safe.

Eligibility
Upbeat Lungs is suitable for people living with stable chronic lung conditions who would like support to stay active.
The program is designed to be inclusive and accessible, including for people who use oxygen or mobility aids. If you are unsure whether the class is suitable for you, you can contact the trainer to discuss your individual needs.
