12 November 2025
Penrith Women’s Health Centre (PWHC) is looking to recruit an experienced Medical Practitioner whose scope of practice includes primary care, mental health and women's health to work with us from our beautiful centre in the heart of Penrith.
PWHC's services focus on empowering and strengthening women’s overall health and wellbeing. Their practice is evidence based and focuses on improving our client's health literacy, whilst offering support to allow clients to make informed healthcare choices. PWHC's health services focus on providing preventative health screening, chronic disease management for women's health conditions, improved mental health and wellbeing for women who may be affected by violence or trauma, and women's health/reproductive care through the lifespan (including pregnancy and abortion care). All women are welcome in their centre, and services are provided through an inclusive, client-centred, trauma-informed, culturally appropriate model of care.
The Medical Practitioner will provide services through an appointment-based fee for service system at Penrith Women's Health Centre or attend outreach locations where appropriate.
Hours of operation at our centre are 8.30-5pm Monday to Friday.
- The successful applicant will initially work part time (up to 7 hours per week) with days and hours negotiable.
- There is an expectation that as demand for services grows, increased hours may be available.
- The role is funded to 30 June 2026, with an expectation of extension subject to ongoing funding.
- Renumeration negotiable for the right candidate.
PWHC considers being a woman a genuine occupational qualification for this position under Section 31 of the Anti-Discrimination Act.
