We’re pleased to share that after a competitive tender process, Myhealth Kable Street has been chosen as the provider of the Windsor Medicare Urgent Care Clinic.
The Clinic, which is funded by the Federal Government, is due to open in early February 2026. It will offer an additional layer of healthcare support to our community, bridging the gap between primary and acute care for urgent, non-life-threatening illnesses or injuries that can’t wait for their usual GP.
While urgent care services are a great alternative option to the ED, it’s still important to have a regular family GP that can manage things like vaccinations, preventative health checks, mental healthcare plans and chronic healthcare. Building that relationship over time also means you can talk openly about any health concerns and your GP can consider your medical history and overall health needs. Whenever possible, your regular GP should always be your first point of contact for non-life-threatening care.
While the Windsor clinic will not be operational until early February, the NSW Health funded Urgent Care Service is still available in North Richmond. The service is open from 8:00AM to 8:00PM, 7 days a week, including public holidays. Access to this service is available through healthdirect on 1800 022 222 where a registered nurse will assess your condition and refer you to the most appropriate care. For more local after-hours services visit the www.DoctorClosed.com.au website.
We look forward to working with Myhealth Kable Street to deliver this important service for the Hawkesbury area.
