Windsor Medicare Urgent Care Provider Announcement

A new Medicare Urgent Care Clinic, funded by the Federal Government, will open in Windsor in February 2026.

After an open tender process, the successful provider for the Windsor Medicare Urgent Care Clinic is Myhealth Kable Street.

Wentworth Healthcare, provider of the Nepean Blue Mountains Primary Health Network (NBMPHN) will oversee the implementation and delivery of the clinic together with Myhealth Kable Street.

Wentworth Healthcare CEO, Lizz Reay, said she was pleased to take the next step towards establishing the Clinic.

“The Windsor Medicare Urgent Care Clinic will offer an additional layer of healthcare support to our community, bridging the gap between primary and acute care for people with urgent, non-life-threatening illnesses or injuries that can’t wait for their usual GP. It will provide timely walk-in access to healthcare without the need for an appointment, leaving emergency departments for those who need it most,” she said.

Ms Reay emphasised that while urgent care services fill an important gap when care is needed quickly and urgently, it’s still important to have a regular family GP.
