Our GP Advisory Committee (GPAC) is one mechanism for engaging with general practice and incorporating the views and feedback of GPs into our PHN activities. GPAC meets five times per year and GPAC in Focus highlights the main topics at these meetings.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Consultation:
Yolande Boys - Manager, Primary Care Workforce Partnerships and Development NBMPHN, led a discussion on constraints and opportunities in CPD and plans for 2019.
Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) ‘Communities of Practice’:
Discussion led by Dr Graeme Judson - Addiction Medicine Specialist, Lives Lived Well and Andrew Biddle - Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Senior Manager NBMPHN. Discussion centred on how best to engage with GPs to identify strategies that could inform the development of a ‘communities of practice’ framework, with the ultimate aim of providing meaningful support to GPs when managing patients with addiction.
