Clinical Supervision EOI

We are seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified individuals or services to provide up to 72 hours of clinical supervision annually to the mental health clinicians we employ.

The Australian Government recognises that the COVID-19 pandemic and its associated social and economic impacts have severely affected the mental health of individuals and communities, requiring a systemic and localised response.

To ensure consumers in the Nepean Blue Mountains region are receiving the right level of care, at the right time, a mental health Initial Assessment and Referral (IAR) Clinical Intake Service has been established by Wentworth Healthcare to support the referral of individuals to appropriate mental health services including a new Head to Health Pop-Up.

About this Opportunity

The Wentworth Healthcare IAR Clinical Intake Service has engaged mental health clinicians to apply the National Initial Assessment and Referral process for all consumers who contact the service seeking mental health support. The IAR Clinicians conduct this assessment via telephone with the consumer using the Commonwealth IAR decision support tool, together with their own clinical judgement, and  based on the level of care identified, proceed with a warm transfer to appropriate services.

Assurance that the services provided to consumers is of a high quality and safe requires that our intake clinicians are supported by sound clinical supervision.

Clinical Supervision Requirements

Clinical Supervision will continue to support the IAR Team of clinicians with regular sessions through a part time contracted clinical supervision service. The service will be required to provide approximately 72 hours of direct clinical supervision per year. This consists of 1 hour of individual supervision conducted for each individual clinician each month, totalling 5 hours per month, and a monthly group session for all 5 clinicians, totalling 1 hour per month.

The Clinical Supervisor/s providing the service will be responsible for maintaining their status as registered psychologist and/or accredited supervisor with AHPRA/AASW and must have their own Professional Indemnity Insurance.

Supervision sessions will take place via video conference e.g. Microsoft Teams or Zoom.

Terms of Engagement

The Clinical Supervision service will be engaged as an independent contractor to Wentworth Healthcare and must have their own ABN.

The term of the agreement will initially be until 30 June 2023, with the possibility of extension upon review.

Wentworth Healthcare will pay a competitive market hourly rate for the clinical supervision, plus a contract administration fee of $1,000.
