Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Clinic
The Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Clinic (EPPC), located within Winmalee Medical Centre at 1a White Cross Road, Winmalee, is now open for people living across the Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury, Lithgow and Penrith areas.
The Clinic is part of the Federal Government's expansion of Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Clinics to improve early access to diagnosis, treatment and referral services for people living with endometriosis and pelvic pain. As part of the expansion, the Clinic also provides services for people experiencing perimenopause and menipausal symptoms.
How does it work?
The clinic works alongside your usual GP, providing additional support through GPs and nurses with advanced skills and experience in women’s health. As part of the service, a nurse navigator plays a central role in coordinating support to help you navigate what can often be a complex and overwhelming health system.
Do I need a referral?
The EPPC accepts both GP referrals and self-referrals. All referrals are reviewed by the nurse navigator, who will assess your suitability for the service, provide further information and make a booking where appropriate.
How do I book an appointment?
To make an appointment, call Winmalee Medical Centre on 4754 1666. A member of the team will take down your details and the Nurse Navigator will return your call to ensure the service is right for your needs, provide further information (including any out-of-pocket costs) and make a booking if suitable.
