What is this service?
This free service is an early intervention, recovery-focused service for young people who are experiencing a first episode of psychosis or who may be at high risk of developing psychosis.
You’ll work with a care team that may include mental health clinicians, psychiatrists, psychologists and other primary care professionals. Support is tailored to your needs and may include individual therapy, family support, practical assistance and help staying connected to school, work and community.

You’ll benefit if you:
- are 12 – 25 years old and are experiencing unusual thoughts, changes in perception or other early signs of psychosis
- have recently experienced a first episode of psychosis
- want coordinated, specialist support close to home
- would like your family or carers involved in your recovery
The program focuses on early intervention, helping reduce the impact of psychosis and supporting you to stay engaged in everyday life.
Eligibility
You may be eligible if you:
- are 12 – 25 years old
- are experiencing a first episode of psychosis, or are assessed as being at high risk of developing psychosis
- live in or near the Penrith area
Funding
This service is funded by the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing.
Referrals
You can refer yourself to this service by contacting the service directly or attend as a walk-in during opening hours. Please check the service hours or contact the provider before attending. A referral can also be made by a GP, other health provider, family/carer or friends.
