Psychological Therapy Services now available for people living in residential aged care homes.

Our WiseMind program assists residents at Residential Aged Care Homes (RACHs) with mild to moderate symptoms of common mental illness, or who are experiencing early symptoms and are assessed as ‘at risk’ of developing a diagnosable mental illness over the following 12 months.

It offers evidence based, person-centred short term support. Services are delivered by mental health professionals including psychologists, social workers and mental health nurses.

WiseMind assists residents at participating RACHs in our region. It began in February 2019 and is working towards full implementation by 2023.

Nepean Blue Mountains PHN continues to work with RACHs within the region interested in providing the WiseMind program.
