Recognised vaccination providers can now record immunisation information on the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) through Health Professional Online Services (HPOS).
You can use AIR through HPOS to record immunisation details, view immunisation histories, request reports and update provider contact details. The functionality on the AIR site has recently been enhanced. Take a look at some of the new functions and remind yourself of what else you can do.
In General Practice, a GP's immunisation provider details are used to access AIR on behalf of a practice. GPs are automatically registered as a recognised vaccination provider however, will need to apply for an authentication file and password to access to AIR. To request access, complete the online request form.
Once an authentication file and password have been received, AIR may be accessed via HPOS using a PRODA account or directly through HPOS by selecting 'AIR log on only'.
