Contracts and Project Officer

About the Opportunity

The Contracts and Projects Officer will work collaboratively with key stakeholders to commission appropriate mental health services and initiatives across the region that support the wellbeing of people with mental illness, in line with available funding and prioritised needs. This includes: 

  • Assessing and prioritising needs; 
  • Planning, scoping and service co-design; 
  • Tendering and contracting of new services; and
  • Contract management, performance monitoring and reporting on existing commissioned services.

This position is full-time (part-time negotiable) and is funded for a 12 month period. Future employment is subject to ongoing funding. 

Requirements

We are looking for someone who has completed relevant tertiary qualifications and has highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Our ideal candidate will have demonstrated skills in project management and skills/experience that can be applied to the commissioning environment. To be successful in this role you will need attention to detail, strong organisational skills and a positive, proactive approach.
