Dr Hermanus Bosman, MBChB
Dr Bosman is a South African trained medical doctor. He graduated from the University of Stellenbosch in 2002 and gained his AMC in 2011.
Over the past decade, Dr Bosman's work in Australia included extensive work in the Emergency and Cardiac fields. Recently, Dr Bosman's focus has turned to Palliative Care provision within a General Practice environment. He developed a special interest in Medicinal Cannabis following personal losses during which he identifies an opportunity to provide more support and care to palliative care patients.
Dr Bosman is currently working at the National Cannaboid Clinics in the CBD of Sydney where General Practitioners and Specialist Health Care Professionals deliver specialised care and individualized treatment plans.
Medical cannabis is increasingly considered a potentially effective therapy in the treatment of some disease-related symptoms. While synthesised cannabinoids have been legally available for many years in some countries, use of the whole cannabis flower and cannabis extracts is only recently gaining greater attention, largely due to an increasing knowledge that such use may be a valuable adjunct or alternative to traditional pharmaceuticals.
This event is organised by Nepean GP Network.
