October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

I am a true believer in health screening. Statistics confirm that screening plays a pivotal role in reducing mortality rates through the early detection and treatment of cancer, and Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a time to reminding everyone of this fact.

Our staff recently had the pleasure of interviewing Gabrielle Moran, a Blue Mountains resident and breast cancer survivor about her experience.

As a breast cancer survivor, Ms Moran is passionate about raising awareness of the need for breast screening, and her story emphasises how regularly self-examining your breasts, speaking to your GP and booking a mammogram can be life saving.

Please take a moment to hear her story and book your free mammogram by calling 13 20 50.
