Our GP Advisory Committee is one mechanism for engaging with general practice and incorporating the views and feedback of GPs into PHN activities.
The GP Advisory Committee (GPAC) provides important counsel to our organisation’s Board and insightful contributions to so many aspects of the programs and initiatives we manage.
Members raise issues in relation to health pathways, hospitals, aged care facilities, workforce, GP education and training and many more important areas.
GPAC meets six times per year, and this week I had the pleasure of attending the May meeting. GPAC comprises GPs from all four LGAs in our region. It is truly inspiring to see the dedication and passion of the members of GPAC, and the energy with which they represent local GPs.
And of course, the opportunity for GP input is not limited to the members of GPAC. We always extend an invitation to every GP in our region to share with us your concerns, priorities and ideas. For those GPs wanting to have a voice or share an opinion, please provide your input online or by calling our Stakeholder Engagement team, on 4708 8100.
