Overview

Addressing burnout experienced among health professionals will be the focus of the third of four MHPN meetings in 2022.
Attend to consider some common pitfalls that providing mental health care can have on our own mental and physical health, and ways of avoiding or overcoming these. It will not be a lecture and PowerPoints can cause drowsiness. Relevant accessible papers or resources will be quoted so have a pen handy if you would like to read further.
There will be generous time for Q&A. Share your experiences with Dr Adams as she explains her perspective of the effects on mental health for those providing care from the frontline.

What is the Mental Health Professionals Network (MHPN)?

The MHPN is an opportunity to connect with your peers whilst collectively improving interdisciplinary mental health practice and collaborative care within our region. Held four times a year, meetings can assist to provide peer support, build referral pathways, talk with expert speakers, address service gaps, and share your successes in the field.

General Practitioners, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Mental Health Nurses, Counsellors, Psychotherapists, Community Workers, and other Allied Health Professionals are welcome to attend.

With a full schedule of quarterly meetings set out for 2022 and key speakers lined up, you can attend on a single evening or enjoy multiple events in this series of engaging discussions planned.

Save the dates for the last Penrith MHPN meeting on 25 October and keep an eye out on https://www.nbmphn.com.au/Events for details of each event closer to the time.
